With some bike parts there is no variation in quality no matter where you buy from. Wheels are a different story, the experience and expertise of the builder can make a dramatic difference in initial quality and long term durability. We take the time to go the extra mile, doing the little things that many builders don't, to ensure that you get wheels that will be reliable and easy to maintain. Just because a wheel is advertised as "handbuilt" doesn't mean it's done right. Some companies advertise their wheels as being "handbuilt" when in reality they skip important steps, rush the build, or only final truing is actually done by hand.

We prep the spoke threads, lube the rim eyelets, seat the spokes heads properly, and go through numerous rounds of stress-relieving the spokes during the build. These steps increase long-term durability and minimize maintenance.
