Ventana

Ventana - www.ventanausa.com

20 years at the cutting edge. Since 1988 Sherwood Gibson has been cranking out some of the most highly regarded frames on the market. He’s a master craftsman with a passion for strong, elegant designs with attention to detail that’s second to none. Because every frame is handcrafted in-house from start to finish Ventana has the ability to change and adapt to customers needs more quickly than other builders, and is one of the few to offer custom sizing. Hardtails in 26" or 29", geared or single-speed. Full suspension frames for 26", 650b, or 29" wheels, and even full suspension tandems. Ventana does it all.

Turner

Dave Turner is one of the original pioneers of full-suspension mountain bikes and has a well-deserved reputation as one of the best. Turner is legendary for their outstanding customer service and superbly designed frames. The crew at Turner ride hard and they listen to what their customers want, they sweat the details and it shows in the quality of their frames. 09' is an exciting year for Turner, a completely re-designed lineup using the DW-Link suspension design, (their new frames are the finest implementation of DW-Link that we have seen).

Knolly

Knolly - www.knollybikes.com
In only a few short years Knolly bikes have gained a stellar reputation among riders looking for innovative full suspension frames for aggressive riding. Noel Buckley was part of the rapidly growing freeride scene in Vancouver BC. Not content with the status quo, he felt most frames designs made too many compromises for the riding they were doing. His passion for riding paired with a strong background in engineering and physics led him to start Knolly Bikes. Knolly’s first bike to go into production, the V-Tach, was (and still is) considered by many to be the finest hardcore freeride frame on the market. Noel has followed that up with more home runs, the Delerium T and Endorphin.

Niner

Niner - www.ninerbikes.com
As the name implies, these guys make only 29'ers. They were dedicated to the 29'er concept from the beginning, when many still thought it would just be a passing fad. Their innovative designs are a driving force in the 29'er movement. While many companies took a wait and see attitude, Niner pushed the envelope with new designs. Their CVA suspension design is one of the best we’ve ever ridden, their customer service is second to none, yet their prices make them a great value too. Expect another great year for them in 09' with a re-design of the RIP 9 and the hot new WFO.

Chumba - www.chumbaracing.com
Chumba has actually been around for 15 years, but seemed to fade off the radar for a while before making a strong comeback in the last few years with some great new designs. The EVO and XCL have gotten rave reviews, and Chumba has now added 26" and 29'er hardtail frames, a hot new lighter weight XC frame, and the F5 downhill rig. Their frames are an incredible value for the price, with quality and attention to detail equal to many frames costing hundreds more.
