Niner Jet 9 and ONE 9 sale

September 26th, 2011

More great sale deals that we just got word on. Niner Jet 9 complete bike w/ their SRAM X7 build kit on sale for $2799 ($300 off). Also some sale pricing available on frame/fork/wheels/bar combo. No changes coming for the Jet 9, they are just stocked a bit heavy going into winter and trying to move some inventory. Incredible value for a complete Niner! Also, ONE 9 single-speed frames on sale for $739 (normally $849).

2011 Turner frame sale!

September 25th, 2011

Turner’s remaining stock of 2011 5.Spot, Flux, and Sultan frames are currently up to 33% off. Availability is still good on M,L, and XXL Spot frames in ano grey or raw, Sultan frames in size L, and Flux in M. Stock is getting low on other sizes and colors but let us know what you’re looking for and we can check updated inventory. Great time to snatch up a new Turner for well below the normal pricing. In addition they already have 2012 build-kits in stock.

2011 Turner info

September 24th, 2010

I have some info now on the new Turner lineup. They are going to anodized finish with laser-etched graphics this year, and 44mm headtube for tapered steerer compatibility. Despite the upgrades/changes their pricing is staying about the same. Check out some pics on the mtbr Turner forum
(http://forums.mtbr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31), the new stuff is looking very sweet! Turner is really on the ball this year, normally their new frames don’t come out until spring, but this year Sultan and Spot are expected to be available in the next few weeks, and DHR is already shipping. Colors will be red, black, and raw for the Sultan; black, silver, and raw for the Spot. Taking deposits now for the first batch, be the first on your block with the new goods. Call or email me for pricing info and/or to place an order.

Specials

September 23rd, 2010

O.K., so I haven’t done so great with the whole blog idea, need to start using it a lot more. Tends to get put on the back burner when things get busy. Will try to start posting stuff at least once a week. Check out the updates to the Specials page for some great closeout deals on Niner and Turner frames. Willing to deal on the large Sultan, make a reasonable offer and it’s yours.

FFTF (Fruita Fat Tire Festival)

July 4th, 2009

Finally made it out to Fruita for FFTF this year.   Even though it’s here in CO I’ve never gone to it before, schedule just never seemed to work out.  I tend to avoid events like this due to the crowded trail conditions, but it ended up being a great time.  If you choose your routes and ride times carefully the trails aren’t crowded at all.  Those guys do a great job putting on a fun event.  Garry (my neighbor) and I drove out, got there late afternoon and hit a quick loop on Zipity Doo Daa before dinner.  The next day we shuttled The Ribbon/Eagles Wing/Holy Cross, what an incredible ride - I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.  Got up early the last day and hit the Kokopelli area before it got crowded.  A little rain the night before had packed down the dust and made for perfect conditions.  Rode Mary’s, Horsethief, Steve’s, and Moore Fun. Had some mechanical issues but Anthony from Yeti was kind enough to loan me a demo bike for the Kokopelli ride.

Welcome

March 11th, 2009

Welcome to the new Mountain High Cyclery website. It’s LONG overdue but finally the day is here. Amazing how fast time gets away from you when you’re busy with work, family, riding, and life in general.

I hope you like the new site. Feel free to provide feedback, I’d love to hear from my customers about how you like it and what additional info you would like to see here. We will continue to add content and tweak the site over the coming weeks. I had originally planned a much larger site with online ordering, but over time I realized that my already crazy schedule wasn’t going to support the additional hours needed to make that happen and keep it up to date. I also really enjoy the personal interaction I have with customers instead of having everything automated. If a full e-commerce site is something you would like to see then please let me know. It’s something I may still add in the future, but for now I just wanted to get a more basic site up and running to replace the very outdated one that has been neglected the last few years.

I will try to post blog entries as often as possible, everything from cool new products to ride reports and ramblings about my life.

Huge thanks to our friend Amy at Creative Navigation (and her crew Will and Brit) for their hard work on the site!
